Organist │ Conductor │ Vocalist

Lorraine is a conductor, organist, and collaborative artist whose work bridges early music, contemporary composition, digital media, and large‑scale choral projects. Classically trained and stylistically versatile, she is known for bringing clarity, intentionality, and an interdisciplinary approach in her work.

Her recent work includes conducting and producing selections from David Lang’s The Little Match Girl Passion for Opera Notre Dame in partnership with Four/Ten Media — a project that won Opera America’s Award for Digital Excellence (2022). From 2020–2022, she served as Chorus Master for The Passion Project, a 90‑minute original work by Grammy Award–winning composer J.J. Wright. Lorraine prepared and toured internationally with the Notre Dame Folk Choir, a 50‑voice ensemble, culminating in an album recorded in Jerusalem and released in 2023. An organist specializing in Baroque and early music, she has performed recitals in Boston, Philadelphia, Worcester, and Hartford. Lorraine is equally active as a creative partner in cross‑disciplinary projects, leading workshops with children's choirs, college choirs, church music directors, and most recently with dancers at Ballet Hartford.

At age 25, Lorraine became Music Director of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (Waterbury, CT), where she revitalized the music ministry, founded the parish’s first children’s choir, launched a school‑wide choral education program for 200 students, restored historic instruments, and laid the foundation for a new organ project. She has also worked extensively with the Notre Dame Children’s Choir and founded multiple youth ensembles in Connecticut and Indiana.

Lorraine began her musical career as Organ Scholar at the Cathedral of St. Joseph (Hartford, CT), then at the College of the Holy Cross, where she held a four‑year, full‑tuition organ scholarship. She earned her master’s degree in sacred music and choral conducting from the University of Notre Dame. Her mentors include James David Christie, Ezequiel Menendez, Mark Doerries, Nancy Menk, and Carmen‑Helena Téllez.

Having loved music all her life, Lorraine is an advocate for young musicians and their musical education. She has taught private lessons to dozens of students as well as written music curriculum. Now with two kids of her own, Lorraine is composing her first collection of songs for children to be published by the end of 2026.

Conductor

While at Notre Dame, she co-directed the Chamber and Liturgical Choirs as part of the Sacred Music Academy. She prepared choristers for a special Christmas performance with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra in 2019 and for their latest album, Ceremony of Carols, along with weekly Vespers at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Lorraine served as choral assistant for the University’s Folk Choir and prepared this chorus for Notre Dame’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar in 2021 and for their 40th Anniversary Concert. Soon after, Lorraine would become the chorus master for the creation, production, and performance of The Passion. She accompanied the Folk Choir on the premiere tour in the United States and for the recording in Jerusalem, Israel.

During her tenure as music director at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury, CT, Lorraine established the church’s first children’s choir, welcoming nearly 30 young musicians of the parish, as well as the first choral music education program at Catholic Academy of Waterbury for its 200 students, PreK-8th Grade.

Organist

Lorraine received her first instruction in the pipe organ from the Hartt School of Music, Hartford, Connecticut. She held the position of Organ Scholar at the Cathedral of St. Joseph for eight years, performing for liturgies and assisting with concerts and conferences hosted by the Cathedral’s music program throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford. In 2015, Lorraine became the Organ Scholar at the College of the Holy Cross; this four-year, full tuition scholarship (awarded to one student every three years) included an apprenticeship with organists James David Christie and Ezequiel Menéndez. As part of her organ training, Lorraine has travelled on study tours to Europe and participated in multiple workshops at conservatories in the United States including Curtis Institute for Music, Oberlin Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, Hartt School of Music, and University of Notre Dame. As a recitalist, Lorraine has performed at venues throughout the Northeast including Mechanics Hall in Worcester, First Lutheran Church in Boston, and on the Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia.
